cdrw/dvd drive error

i have been finding many hp notebooks utilizing the r512 drive from toshiba are having problems. mine has the ablility to read dvds, but it cant read cds or burn cds. wtf! i heard about a download from toshiba europe, but i cant find anything.

Check the HP website for it... look it up by your notebooks model...
