I updated the section and repost the thermal utility.

I don't know the source of this tool and have no proof this tools is proprietary of clevo, so i decided to post it, cause it helps to fix the fan noise probs for an overpriced laptop, so if AW or clevo doesn't want to fix it, this tool will fix, nevermind the source is coming.

I ran many 3Dmark05 tests with the following:
- AlienForce 76.50 by J.Clausse
- XtremeG 76.50 by TweaksRUs
- Modded Forceware 76.50 (the one linked here before the AlienForce)

For each drivers I uninstall the previous one, reboot and install the new one (and disabled and stopped BitDefender).
All tests used the High Perf settings in the nvidia settings.

3Dmark05 Results:
- AlienForce 76.50 no OC (331.5 / 1.00): 3972
- AlienForce 76.50 OC (365 / 1.00): 4295
- XtremeG 76.50 no OC (331.5 / 1.00): 4144
- XtremeG 76.50 OC (365 / 1.00): 4446
- Modded Forceware 76.50 no OC (331.5 / 1.00): 4130
- Modded Forceware 76.50 OC (365 / 1.00): 4459

For the AlienForce i used the perf setting.
Well it seems that the specific 7700AW driver is not working so good on mine :/

FYI, I ran the FFXI Benchmark3 with the modded forceware 76.50 no OC after I reinstalled my system, score was: 4520 in HighQuality (the benchmark can be found here)

I tried the xtreme g driver and i had 4007 using 3D mark, while mine is giving me 4200.

It's very bizzare since the settings may vary from a system to another.

I'll try to have a look, but don't understand why we don't get same result.

U can retry, i fixed some values.

Uninstall the driver from add/remove and delete any profiles and restart.

Install my driver, just run setup.exe, i only used one profile.

Reboot and run 3d mark 05 without changing any values.

amazing work my man! your drivers are imporving my laptop's performance by the day
i honestly can't express how appreciated your work is, so i'll just load this message with little dancing alien men

my unit runs at 3.0gHz, with 512 RAM and i'm running the 6800go (sadly, no ultra), but using your alienforce driver to oc my card to the automatically detected settings, allows me to get 3600+ on 3dmark05 (i forgot the exact score, but it was in the 3600range), that's with all my usual background programs running, which is a boost of over 1200!

i REALLY need a ram upgrade and that dreamy new 6800 ultra though...

Great to hear

I experienced probs with my router at home and can't access web at home actually, i'll try to fix this as fast as possible, cause i can't access my file server from work.

Uh, his driver doesn't OC the card, it merely optimizes the settings for performance. OC'ing is changing the actual clocks of the card, which I wouldn't recommend unless you know what you are doing and have sufficient cooling.

I'll download the new one and try it tonight. I'm not going to run it OC'd though, just default 330/1000.

OK man, I used your new and improved driver. One thing, I was unable to OC at all with it, nothing would pass the test. Also the CPU score seems to be a bit lower. I'm going to run it a couple more times on your driver default to see if I can score the CPU better.

That shouldn't have been in there, I cut and pasted the scrores and links from the post way up there so I wouldn't have to repost all the links, I accidentally cut and pasted that line too. it's out now.

How about the CPU scores? what could effect that? Maybe I'm not holding my mouth right or something.

with the "old" 76.50: 4058 points
with the "actual" 76.50: 4158 points

without OCing...
