Can u tell me the exact model of the wifi external or internal card ?
Its the internal card, atheros chipset model CM9. I found a set of drivers several versions newer then the 3.0.0.43 listed on AW's site.

Version # is 3.3.0.150 beta drivers

Also have 3.1.1.50

I posted the wifi driver, anyone can confirm me it's working with internal AND external card ?

Thx in advance

oops, never mind. I'll give it a shot when I get home from work tonight.

I think most people who check AW's FTP site almost go straight to the BIOS or Vcard folders. Since I haven't seem any one posted it yet, there is a new keyboard driver dated 4/26/2005.
ftp://www.alienware.com//Mobile/7700/7700_KB_R8.16.zip
I will restart after posting this and see what's new.

I was wondering, with that get speed program....is it ok to run all your fans on high all the time or just during games..and also...if I adjust the fan speed...and then delete the get speed....will my fans go back to default????
As far as the fan speed programs go (the new one most of us are using as of yesterday, anyway), no one really knows in depth how it works yet. I can tell you right now, however, that if I open the program, adjust my fan speeds, and EXIT the program, the fans stay at the speed I adjusted them to. This would indicate that something on the system board is being changed. So, we have yet to find a way to let the fans go back to their default settings if one decides to get rid of the program.

On another note, I have my fans (all of them) running one notch higher than the default (constantly on) and my PC temp dropped 10 DEGREES CELSIUS. I MEAN WOW! Granted, I put my lappy to sleep when I go to bed, so it may be better for me than others who leave their PC's on all the time.

Just run the tool and go to "Trip Point"

The, in "Set Trip Point" Section, go to Fan off and set 40 and click on the "Set Trip Point".

This seems to fix the noise from the cpu fan

I guess this tool write infos on an eeprom on the fly.

Do I just leave all the other files in the folder or paste them in the program files? Thanks.

I extracted them all on c:\Pgram Files\D900_Thermal_Utility

Put them all there and make a shortcut that point to
c:\Program Files\D900_Thermal_Utility\GetThermal.exe

Thanks a lot jclause!

that's a great prog, Battlefied Vietnam used to run my 7700 cpu at 70-72, now it runs at about 62-65 °C.

One question though, any chance somebody has some documentation that goes with this program? It's all pretty intuitive but there's a few things I'm not too sure about.

Anyone have this problem? When I open the thermal app...and then minimize it..it will stay in my system tray for a while..and then it will just disappear and I can't access it to adjust. I have to do the ctr+alt+del deal and then stop the program, and then restart it again............any suggestions???

The new KEYBOARD driver that I posted previously comes handy for the getthermal thing.
The new driver actually allows you to program the right most of the 3 shortcut buttons to associate with a program. I set it to the thermal thingy with a nice aqua text color ^.^. Cute!
