Hi everyone,
I (stupidly) tried uninstalling my working copy of the Toshiba Power Saving tools yesterday but got an error (A Fatal error has occurred. This program will be terminated. code: 0x2) when doing so. I tried reinstalling the program and the installation seemed to go ok, but after I rebooted the computer the Power Saver icon was not in the taskbar and the TPSMain.exe process was running insanely at 100% CPU. If I try to uninstall again I get the same error, then subsequent uninstalls fail with a message telling me that the uninstall file is corrupted. The only way I can get reinstalls to even start is to blow away the C:\Program Files\Toshiba\Power Saver directory, but then after I reboot I get back to the 100% CPU TPSMain.exe state.
To answer the obvious question, I've reinstalled the requisite Toshiba Common Module before installing the Power Saver but this hasn't helped. Can someone please help me resolve this? I've spent countless hours on this already and am getting nowhere.
Cheers,
james
