video upgrade ?'s

Hello all! I have 2 questions to ask about my 7700.
1: I just upgraded to 3 gb of system memory, is it possible in bios setup to allocate more to video for better performance (on other systems I have been able to set how much memory was allocated to video).

2: Are other video cards availavle for this system. I am a mechanical designer using differnet CAD packages on this machine (CATIA, SolidWorks, UGS). The GeForce works, but I would love to put a Quadro in it , is this possible? Thanks!!!

Yes you can put a quadro in it. Alienware sold a version for CAD professionals with a quadro card.

echo you can put in a Quadro FX 1400. But I would read up on some tutorials and stuff before trying to insert it in on your own.

Howdy. can anyone help me install the HD Audio Driver? I actually use a Creative Audigy 2 ZS notebook but it's been getting a lot of backround noise when I record stuff so I thought I'd do a clean uninstall/install. I uninstalled all the audio (including the original onboard audio).

I downloaded the drivers from AW's website, and when I go to extract it, it has like 50 of the same .exe in it and asks me if i want to replace the other with this one, and so on. The prob is, every .exe is a little different size wise. Sooo... I'm pretty sure someone f'd up. I never remember having a problem extracting/installing the audio drivers before...

Any ideas? Also: I tried downloading the driver from this thread, but it wont download...

This may be a noobish question, but I just got STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, and my 7700 shut down. I'm guessing this was due to overheating. Upon closer observation, it looks as if my GPU fan isnt working at all. Any way I can control my fans? I've heard of maybe upgrading the BIOS, but any other way to get at the GPU fan in particular?
If you install the latest BIOS, then you can hit FN+F2 to ramp up all fans to 100% including the GPU fan. It's noisy but keeps the machine as cool as possible.
