With the new 84.26 drivers I get black boxes when the gladiator in Quake 4 shoots at me.

Just to let y'all know. My above post was wrong. Just a temporary, non-driver issue. These new 84.26 drivers are rock-solid!

nvidia.com has the new official 84.63 drivers!

_edit: Having issues with these. Will not install.

Nvidia finally fixed the 84.63's. It seems they released them with some missing components. It's fine to download now.

Incredible improvement with Tomb Raider Legend!

The 84.63 nvidia driver works great now. I did notice a different w/ Stronghold 2 believe it or not (or I'm nuts and imagining it, which is possible!).

Less laggy!!!

later,
pat!

The Atheros Drives doesent work for me.I got an Error if i would like setup the Security Section in the Programm.Try both Drivers but must go back to the older Driver.Somebody the same prob?
Hoshie, you should only need to install the drivers from that setup, do not install the software also. The athros software will take over your windows networking properties for your internet connections... I found that annoying.

If the older driver is giving you no issues, there really is no reason to upgrade Hosie.

Anyone sucessfully installed the Windows Vista Realtek drivers? I can't seem to get Windows to find the hardware after installing the drivers.

Also, can someone let me know which Realtek onboard audio card we have on the 7700. I am unable to find its detals on the computer or on Alienware's site.

correct drivers?

Hey guys:

I had to repartition my 7700 a couple weeks ago, and since I don't have a respawn disc or whatever it is, I had to go and manually find all the drivers. Everything has been going good, but my mic recording volume is so LOW. I have to put my mouth right next to the mic and like SHOUT in order for it to pick up the most remote thing.

It wasnt muted. Its volume was at the max. But I did notice that its treble and bass levels were at the lowest setting possible, but they were gray (meaning, I cant change their levels). The slider wouldnt budge. I couldnt even click on the sliders.

So, I saw these HD drivers here. I started the installer and got a blue screen of death. So i went into Safe Mode, uninstalled the drivers (old and new) and here I am. ARE YOU SURE THESE ARE THE RIGHT ONEs? Am I missing something here? Did I install them wrong?

help

ok, i downloaded 1.46 or whatever for the HD audio drivers, ran the installer, but mid way through I get a blue screen of death. Can someone PLEASE help. Where can I find 1.45 or something cause maybe 1.46 isnt the right one. I keep clicking on 1.45 on page 1 of this thread, but nothing pops up. its just some ftp thing. the drivers i have installed now are 5.10.0.5037 i believe. My mic volume is the problem:

Its not picking up much volume and also my voice is playing through the speakers at the same time (no lag in the voice, but still its annoying hearing my voice through my speakers as I use the mic). SOMEONE HELP haha.

ftp://61.56.86.122/pc/hda/alc880d/Vista_HDA5285.zip <~~ Vista driver. WOrks great. If you're having mike volume issues, check to see if you have a -20db gain option(which will make the mike louder)

I just installed 1.47 without any problems. The vista drivers are for the ones who already have the release candidate 1, which i believe can be downloaded from the microsoft webpage. Since you have XP you should install the XP version.
