'bruses' appearing on my 5680 screen - Page 3

Same here.. wish I visited the site

Jesus I have the same problem, noticed it ages ago but just presumed it was isolated to my 5680. It's only annoying when there's light colours or white near the actual spot. The bruise/spot is left and up of center screen. Apart from that the screen is perfect, never got any of these elusive stuck pixels. Seeing as there are many more of you I wish I came here before now.. Haven't being on the forums in ages (pretty busy here in Ireland)

Anyway I'll be checking in alot more.. good luck all..

same issue here. about 8 very small spots, each about same size and in a group in the lower left center of the screen. just noticed them last night and i don't think they were there before. the comp is sager 5680 with UXGA screen. looks like some sort of spots of scum of some sort between the LCD and the backlight. a friend of mine had this same thing happen to an ancient toshiba laptop and sent it in and got a new screen. i'll have to remember to ask her what they said was the deal. i am just about ready to take this thing apart and clean these spots off myself.

I've got a one and a half year old sager 5670 with the UXGA screen and it has at least 2 bruises and it appears like several hundred faded pixels on the edges of the screen, I have sent it into sager twice for unrelated issues and both times I have asked them to check it out, and never did they even say anything about it to me again, so expect your screens to continue getting worse

seems to me this is something between the LCD and its backlight. gotta be some sort of like mildew or mold or something to show up as fast as it did. seems like i see a few more spots now too. i am gonnna take my comp apart and clean the back of the LCD and the backlight with something like windex. will post how it turns out

This is my exact problem as well. It almost seems like the LCD frame is too tight in some spots, putting just a little bit of pressure on the screen giving it a little bit of that "LCD morph" look to it. But again it's only really noticable on a totally white/brightly coloured screen. It's not a huge deal, as with most of yours im sure, but I know it bugs me, as it probably bugs you guys as well, just knowing its there...so frustrating

ok so i cant do the quote thing properly... but i think we might be talking about different things going on with the screens here. I too have an area near the edge of the screen that is sort of off looking as described in his message, but that isn't what i was referring to mainly. my screen also has these little dark spots, more now than when i first posted. you could say these spots on my screen look kinda like the dark spots that begin to appear on a banana when it gets ripe. seems like my screen gets a few more every day too. lucky me

damn

damn you guys are having problems too, I noticed it when I took it out of my back pack and started working on it on my lap. I never noticed it before when It was on my desk, so I think it has something to do with pressure or something.

I got three spots, tried everything too. Gonna call Sager on Monday.

I decided to buy a smaller non gaming laptop, the dell 700m. These bruises are gonna make it hard if not impossible to sell my 5680 on ebay. I am much happier with my dell at the moment.

My 5680 has a tiny bruise in the lower right corner of the screen, its barely noticable really.

I have a lot on my laptop, anyone know how to get rid of these things? I don't care much, but if there's a cheap and easy fix, I'm all for it.
