Hey guys,

I'm on my 3rd ferrari 4005, and the left wrist rest creaks whenever i put my hand on it.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Any way to rectify it?

Thanks,
KJ

Mine doesn't have this problem too. I have it for one month and everything works ok. My only concern was a strange noise in ac/dc adapter, although the adapter has always worked ok. The noise used to last 2 or 3 minutes after I turn on the notebook, now it lasts for only 2 or 3 seconds and stops.

I have this problem too, if you're adventurous and already on number 3 try taking the laptop apart and putting something in between the harddrive and the wrist rest, not responsible for what happens lol

The first one had a problem where it would not play music, not from a CD nor my hard drive, it would deep freeze and need to be shut down.

The second had a creaky wrist rest right out of the box....and lookie what we have now.... These acers seem to be built a little on the chintzy side...

Yeah i have the same problem too. I sent it in and they changed the top where the keyboard sits on and when i got it back it was fine a few days and then started creaking again. I tried to open it up but chickened out halfway. If you take the screw out at the bottom left it stops creaking which is kinda odd.

No problems like this at all to report... feels like it is *very* solid around the keyboard. (Ordered and received as of late November '05).

I have been having problems with the left click mouse button. Sent it in once and they replace palmrest and motherboard. Same day I got it back it started not booting at all I would hit power and it would just bep at me loadly andrepeatly only does this when it feels like it. Also the mouse stopped working again. I am almost ready to send it in get it fixed and buy an ASUS like I shuld have.
