Battery compatability

I'm looking to buy a i6000 pretty soon. I have an latitude d610 that work purchased for me, and it came with a second battery. I was wondering if that battery would fit into an i6000. I think not, given that the latitude and inspiron models seem to be pretty different, but I thought I'd get some input here. It would be great to use the extra battery in the other system if possible.

Unfortunately it looks like the asnwer is no. It looks like the i6000 has a custom battery for its class/chassis and the current model you have doesn't fit that class.
