Here's a link to them in the news section. We closed the old 23 page thread on the 8790 to start a new one, but if you want to read it, it's here.

Ok, so the 9700 mobility 256mb or whatever is gonna be available in january and my 5680 that hasnt even been half built yet is gonna be outdated?

Damn did I order at the wrong time

WOW. Everyone, if you take a look you can see on the pcmark screen shot "mobility 9700"...they actually have one right now. That machine is so amazing looking! Best looking laptop I have seen in a long time. And the stock paint job looks really sweet!

That 8790 is looking pretty sweet ... have to look into it in later months
post #5 of 727
Oh drool. Does Sager do trade-ins? Just curious. =P
post #6 of 727
Hey Adam. I see that you installed 3dmark01...so...how did it score?
very nice...love it. was hoping that they would redesign the lid to get rid of the piece thats there now, but otherwise it looks very sweet. love the dark color..is it black, or dark grey..hard to tell. notice they have removed one of the ir windows from the front.

OK, so it is more like the 4780 shell. But the bottom shows it was redesigned to have the side by side Hard Drives. So from the bottom it is really a new design and not a rushed to put something in the old shell technique.

How much are looking at for this Big Foot? Are we talking about +4000USD fully maxed out or what?
I am starting to wonder why I ordered my 5680 when I did...
WOW those pics look nice! I am about to order a 8890 but after those pics I am having second thoughts......

Any idea on what the pricing is going to be? Would like to know when we can start to pre-order these babys if the price is right

very nice, everything seems to be going according to plan. Are those pictures from your office or are they from Sager?

funny thing is that it saids "notebook" on the cover. can that be customized?!? eehehehe.

cant wait til I get my hands on one of these. would be my first time owning a laptop, unless you count the 486' windows 3.1 one. I like how it is so easily upgradable, rams, hd, CPU.. etc. maybe I'll swap out my 2.8HT in my rig now to the 3.x I'm getting later.

OOoooo. if that is your office, can you give us a sneak preview?! such as... performace, loudness of fans, etc.

The "notebook" thing is what clevo does. When sager ships them out it will say "Sager".

Good question rjiemamam. I was wondering the same thing. However the obvious label could come in handy incase I forgot what to call my shiny new toy

MY GOD! Angels created this laptop with a gamer in mind . Pentium 3.6 processor & a radeon 9700? This computer will make the 5680 its bitch . An upgrade looks better and better everyday for me.

Jeez, i feel very bad about my 5680 order now. This ALWAYS happens to me, I lose out on the good stuff, as i order things a month too early.

See if you can cancel it. I almost pulled the trigger on an 8890 today. I'm still sitting on the fence though.
But how much? I might delay my b-day present and make a trip to Sarasota
post #19 of 727
I can probably cancel it, but Im not sure if i can wait longer. Plus this thing will be a big chunk of money more than the $2400 5680 i had ordered.

GRR... hard to decide...Cmon sager! Why did you have to release this now????
How much more performance will the 9700 have? Not alot, or a huge difference between the mobility 9600 pro?

:jaw drops: I am so impressed with that machine, it is totally loaded and it is so small and light! I would love to have that screen. i don't mind the wxga i wouldn't think, as i'm sure that card can handle some 16x AA for some good gaming. woohoo! congrats to those who order early !!
