is that just a rare occurrence? is he lying?
sounds like a lot of people are not happy with the way the 4780 handles heat...OR are you just not happy with the way the 4780 handles heat 'on paper'...are you all just mad because the paper states it removed a heat sink? or because someone opened everything up and there's a heat sink missing? i just want to know if the majority of them overheat....or if they are stable....i take adam's word as golden...so if he says his does not overheat..what else am i to think?
also....adam...you took those pics of the 8790...but are you putting it through any tests? other than the 3d benchmark frames per second, blah blah blah...that's all well and good if i'm going to use my sager to power my space shuttle and i want to know how fast i'll get to the moon...but honestly....those benchmark tests mean about as much to me as a festering bowl of dog snot (UHF reference...who got it?!)
but seriously...i dont care about scores and frames per second....what I want is for someone with an 8790 (adam?) to just load up a bunch of resource intensive games, play for 6 hours, and tell me if it's burning your hands, burning the table, crashing, blowing loud, staying cool, etc.....
now that's a test...
am i asking for too much?
