Hmm. I am so excited... I am thinking I will be enjoying my new laptop midweek...barring anything going wrong in phase 8

mine's in phase 8 today as well! Just jumped from five to eight about an hour ago...sweet!!!

don't even TALK about dead pixels...

Well, I imagine in any case I could have dead pixels on my LCD... do I expect them to be there when I recieve it? no... Do I expect them to develop? no but I am realistic here that they could and most likely will.

I cannot sit here and believe that everytime I turn around I will be dealing with a problem. if I did that I wouldn't order anything. As with any electronic product, you always run the risk of having some failure or critical failure on some part. That is the sometimes unfortunate nature of the technology.

I have my eyes wide open and I hear about people having problems with their systems. I don't anticipate I will have issues but I also don't think "oh well that only happens to other people."

I do believe that AW will do me right if and when I have any problems.

My .02 for all those who care to read about it.

U'll get bitched if u get ghost pixels

BTW, u're not the only one, i'm currently having a lcd screen still in the box, and maybe i'll also get ghost pixels, or maybe not ...
