Sager 8790 Motherboard

Hi,

Ive been asking myself this question ever since my laptops usb sockets stop working for no reason. Since the camera is also handled by the USB interface, it stop working as well. The headphone jack has been destroyed by to much use as well. I would like to know what motherboard it uses, brand, manufacturer and where can i buy it. The question comes because ive always been a pc user and i like servicing my machines myself. Sending my laptop from Puerto Rico to Cali doesnt sound like a good idea. Anyways i would appriciate anyone who can help me out . Thanks

Might want to email Sager direct and see if they can tell you that information. Last year, I had a Japanese company quote me a price of ~US$1500 or so for a motherboard. Not cheap.

thanks for the replies. $1500, thats ridiculous... my laptop's still in warranty, but i hesitate to send it. I was wondering if any of you guys send your laptop. What measures you took and approximately how much it cost (shipping, handling, insurance, ect.) and how much it took? Thanks
