sager finally gets a new driver package out (with COD still cripples) just days before the new 3.10

ati is the driver king these days
king??? pls, the issues with games are still not fixed, every new driver brings out new problems, although the power of ati is greater than nvidia for the battle of dx9 but still they have much to learn in driver parts

Which are usually better - Sager video drivers, ATI drivers, or Omega Drivers?
Id say Omega

every driver brings more performance as well.
and i don't know what problems you're talking about. the only major issue i've run into is COD crashed and that IS fixed.
you compare ati's drivers with nvidia's and they win hands down.

Well, thats your oppinion. I own both, currently own a GeForce 3 Ti500, Radeon 9700 All-In-Wonder, 9800XT, and soon a 9600 Pro .. Personally I consider nVidia's drivers the gold standard. I do however love ATI's drivers, and prefer ATI hardware over nVidia anyday. But kudos to nVidia for making such rock solid drivers.

what is the solution to COD crashing with the new sager 7.95s? anyone know how i can fix it?

I think ATI does better drivers, even if NVIDIA's are more stable. It was recently found out, and I believe NVIDIA even admitted, that they have been cheating on the 3DMARK2003 benchmark suite by putting precomputed data and cutting graphics quality in their drivers so they can respond faster and know what to expect in benchmarks.

Don't know the details, but when I read it, it was enough to convince me to buy the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro instead. They discuss this in the CPU magazine and came to the conclusion this has been a practice of NVIDIA back since the days of the Geforce3. The moral: Don't trust benchmarks, trust the frame rate in real games.

Here's a little article about NVIDIA's benchmark cheating, not very good but I didn't look hard, do some more reasearch yourself.

That, coupled with lower performance, is enough to make my next card ATI, esspecially with ATI's MASSIVELY improved drivers as of late.

Can someone tell me where I can find the ATI, Omega, and Sager Drivers for the 9600? Thanks!

ATI's Drivers are what I'm really looking for, and they claim on the ATI website they do not have any, and you should go to your notebook manufacturer. This occurs when I select a mobility product. Should I just install the standard catalyst Driver set for the desktop cards? would it work?

Not doing anything quite yet, still waiting for sagers reply on my missing 2nd hard drive.

Install the new 3.10 drivers- that will fix the crashing with COD and all other games run better with these drivers ( on my 8890)
hey thanks 4speed, but i just installed the new ones from Sager's website, and everything seems to be stable except for the COD thing. i had an inkling that the 7.95 was equivilant to the 3.10 cats, so there must be a way (?) to get it all to work. cheers!
