I just purchased the Transcend 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 533 from newegg in stead of the Transcend Samsung Chipset 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 533

Is there a difference between the two? (besides price and samsung chips)

Or you can use this code:
Enter coupon code C11-GIFTGUIDE for 10% off at eBay. Exp. 12/18.

And apply it to an auction like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/TRANSCEND-1GB-DD...QQcmdZViewItem

And come out with a much better deal! =)

And don't forget about this code also if you have a PayPal account... an extra 20$ E&A is always handy!

Enter coupon code 1P002ZF2T7QPD0 at checkout when paying with PayPal for $20 off $200 Electronics & Peripherals @ Dell Home. Exp. 12/6.

Good find on the coupons but auctions arent really good refference until they end.

it's not really an auction it's this Ebay Store, and at first I understand how people are skepitcal about Ebay Stores but after listening to Clown I highly agree and suggest CtechSolutions based out of Washington for Dell parts. They're new they sponsor returns and they're about 30 percent cheaper, for all dell parts on stock. I got the PowerBrick and the 9 cell all new for 100 dollars, with a 90 day return policy.

I got transcend and it seems to work great.

Wow. That price is amazing. I just ordered two, and I hadn't even planned on adding memory. But that's too cheap to pass up.

Wow, piss me off, these were the cheapest by about $10 when I bought them for $98 each in august . But $60, wow, I cant believe how cheap RAM is now

I just put this deal into my 9300 yesterday. Got 2 1Gb modules of the Transcend Samsung for $147 total, UPS 3 day. This also comes with a $10 rebate on each one. Seems to work great.

Hopefully runs nice, just order a stick thanks for the deal.

I ordered a couple gigs to try out in my 9300 i just ordered. I was going to go with the OCZ again but i thought i would save a few bucks and try the Transcend modules with Samsung chips since alot of people use them. I'll put them through a ringer for a couple of days testing and see how they do. Also, i would recommend buying from Newegg and not on eBay simply because it will be easy to RMA with Newegg and it may take a while to do an RMA with Transcend. I dont know though cause i havn't dealt with them. Manufacturers like OCZ and Crucial usually have a quick RMA process so thats why i like them.

So I get this message at 9:45 p.m. ...

"Thank you for shopping at Newegg.com.

"This email will provide you with the tracking numbers for packages shipped on 12/2/2005 . If you ordered additional merchandise that is not mentioned in this email, you will receive a similar email update(s) to notify you when those products have been shipped."

Wow. I ordered them less than eight hours ago. And it's a Friday night. These guys are good.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought a gig and I'll wait till after Christmas to see if it might even drop more (I doubt it) and then I'll go ahead and max it out. 2gig's got to be something you can feel going from a gig .

Please give a review after the upgrade, I am interested in the Transcend memory. I will upgrade to 2 gigs after Christmas but will have to settle for 512 for 2-3 weeks.

I'll run memtest and post back the results when it arrives. Hoefully I'll be able to give a good report. *crosses fingers and hopes*

Umm... they work as they should and have no problems? Not much more to say as we can't overclock

Well, there was a knock at my door 20 minutes ago. And now my M170 has twice the memory in it. What's impressive to me is the turnaround from Newegg. I've never, ever ordered something on a Friday afternoon and had it arrive on Monday. And that was the $10 Express Saver shipping, in the middle of the Christmas hubbub. I'm sold on those guys now. Cheaper and faster than ebay.

Guess I better update my sig ...
