Download the latest drivers.

Only install the drivers, it's at the top of the list. Then use Windows utility.

umm Function button + f2, make sure its turned on? Also make sure ur wireless AP doesnt have MAC Filtering, cuz it wont connect at all then. Also make sure u dont have any WEP turned on. It is possible its dead. Try to bring it to a location that u know has free open wireless and see if it connects there. If not, I guess u will be speaking with India

That is what I did with the 2200BG from the start. Never used the Dell version. No problems, great signal strength--better than my D-Link DWL-G650 external and my router is a D-Link. The only thing I miss out on is the 108 speed, but it doesn't seem to matter unless I am transfering big files.

Others swear by the atheros cards. You might consider that as an option. Supposidly cooler running chip too.

Edit: Getting your wireless working can be a real PITA. Don't give up.

do you mean that using the windows xp utility to config ur wireless connection? I tired that and got "very good connection" to my router it would vary to "good" often as well. i used the intelPRO software, and i get "excellent" all the time. it also connects and keeps the connection MUCH better than the windows verison.

The Intel cards suck and are nothing but problems. I dealt with them on a large scale through my company.

The Dell Truemobile cards are much better.

Got my i9300 just last week. As soon as I was done with the normal setup, it found my network right away and it prompted me for my WEP code. I entered the WEP code and that was it. No problem at all.

OK OK i FINALLY resolved the issue. What happened was I locked down my router to only allow certain mac id's in. The problem was I was putting in the wrong mac id from the laptop when i ran the getmac command. Anyhoo, I popped in the other mac id and BAM works like a charm now im surfing the web. AFter i finish performing preliminary tests off I go to format and bench like a mofo
