Z60T - Upgrading Optical Drive

I'm considering getting a Z60T. However, the only factor that keeps me from pulling the trigger is the lack of a Dual Layer DVDRW slim drive.

Can these notebooks take a standard sized slim drive, like thjose made by Sony, NEC and Pioneer?

Doubtful. I'm fairly certain they are proprietary. If you can wait until 2006 (26 more days) chances are Lenovo will announce dual layer drives soon...since everyone (all OEMS) seem to be going to those.

9.5mm drives aren't propietary, just less common.
