So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

I just wanted to know whether your power adapter for the M3438G/M4438G is completely quiet or does it make some noise? Mine makes a noticeable buzzing noise when in operation, it's starting to drive me a bit crazy...
Mine gets hot too, but there's also the buzzing noise to accompany that... could it be related to the mains voltage? That's different between countries, we have 230 volts here... hmmm. What voltages you guys have??
Mine is completely silent. A bit warm but far from burning. Im from Sweden and we use 220-230V and 50Hz.
I dont understand the world of electricity and frequency, but I would say yours is faulty. Or as you say, something about the input.
EDIT: Have used the notebook plugged to the adapter for 3 days without problem. I think the best thing for you would be to compare your machine with another. Its so much money and its sad to hear you dissapointed because Im not.
The AC Adapter is damn hot and it definitely makes noise. If it is not hot it is broke and the noise is at a frequency not many people can hear. (But if it is too loud, it is broke as well.)

If it's not hot its broke? Well, it isn't VERY hot, it was in the start when I had just got it and the buzzing noise is very apparent when you hold it in your hand for example. Sometimes it makes more noise, sometimes not as much.
ok, say, when you really stress your computer and play games while calculating (1*10^100)! for an hour, I'd be really surprised if it was not hot. And an AC adapter which does not get hot may be broke. Depends on whether you have problems
The noise depends on how much power is needed at the moment. The AC adapter gehts clearly louder during the <2 seconds when the computer freezes.

Nothing wrong with your power adaptor, mine gets hot and makes a noise, so do my camera battery chargers so do my flashguns, its not a fault its by design.
