Hi all,
Unfortunately since alienware has taken my laptop from me for an extended period of time while trying to fix / replace it, I finally found my way to a new laptop system. None the less, their inefficiencies have left me with a brand new piece of Crucial.com certified ram matched specifically for the Area51m laptop (last year style, not new style).. The ram is pc2100 512mb DDR 266MHZ, CL2.5 single chip for those who have an extra expansion bay. You are welcome to go to Crucial and spec it out to compare to what I am saying. According to Crucials site it says " 512MB, 200-pin SODIMM Upgrade for a Alienware AREA-51m System " It is brand new, was installed in the laptop and gave me the full 1gig of ram, and then taken out of the laptop about 3 weeks later so that I could return the laptop to AW for replacement. Now I can not use this ram in the new system because of incompatability with pc3200 ram.
This ram still has the crucial warranty, and I can provide the ram in same condition as it was shipped to me from Crucial with original stickers and barcode, serial and description still on the ram.
please reply those who are serious. I do not want the ram to go wasted when it can be put in a new system and made better. I did notice an awesome difference when I upgraded the ram to 1 gig, absolutely faster!
Ram currently goes for 109.00 plus shipping from Crucial. I am selling for firm 102.00 including shipping to any state , USA only please.
kind regards,
