Media Keys/Mouse activating backlight

Hey, i'm having a problem on my 9300. When I leave it on with the lid closed, the lcd backlight goes off. But when I move my external usb mouse, or press any of those media keys, the backlight goes on even when the laptops lid is closed. How can I avoid this?

Thanks

Hmm, mine does that too. Never noticed it.

Have you used your car charger megphat? Does it work well and which is it?

The car charger works great. Its the Auto-Air Power Adapter. Its really a dual use thing in that it works from 12v (cars/planes) but also mains (100-240v). However its only 65w so to game from it, you need to force your cpu up with CHC (otherwise it runs at 800/600mhz).

Anyway, back on topic, does everyone have the backlight going on when you press the front media buttons or move a usb mouse?

Is no one else having their media buttons/external mouses activating the backlight when the lid is closed?

Ya i have the same prob with the screen coming on when the lids closed. If anyone knows how to solve this i'd be interested.

Does anyone know if it damages the screen to have it closed and the screen on? I'm just worried that the heat of the screen being on might hurt it.

The screen is flurescent so it doesn't generate much heat and won't damage it. The notebook doesn't really dissipate heat through the top anyway, so it should be ok. Just it bugs me using the laptop for music while on battery as the backlight sucks power = less music
