Trade your monster for something smaller

I have a mint condition Dell D600:

Intel Pentium M 1.6GHz Dothan 2MB Cache
1GB RAM
80GB 5400RPM HD
1400x1050 14.1" LCD
8xDVD+RW Drive Internal
Floppy Drive
802.11b/g Internal
Bluetooth Internal
2x AC Power Adapters
2x Batteries ~ 3 Hours of charge each
Docking Station/Port Replicator

The warranty information is below:
Initial Next Business Day UNY 1/25/2005 1/25/2006 53
Extended UNY 1/25/2006 1/25/2008 730

So you can see it has next day service until January 2006, and Extended warranty until 2008.

I would be happy to trade for a desktop replacement laptop if the deal is right.

I have completed several such trades in the past - one here about a year ago. I traded a Dell D400 Ultra Portable with all the accessories, for a Sager 5670.

So if anyone is interested, let me know and send me some specs. I will put pictures up shortly.

I have Heatware and beerology as oobnuker, and 5 years of EBAY under ARVENTERPRISES.

Let me just say to everyone - I am not in a position to do a + cash deal. It has to be outright. Also, not interested in selling. I really just want a change of pace. This is an outstanding laptop, I'm just ready for a change.

Forgot to mention 2 batteries - each hold about 3 hours of charge.

Bump. You know that hot spot in the middle of your back you get from carrying that monster around? Yeah, take my D600 and all your back troubles will go away.

Thanks for the offer. I noticed you had a thread where you were parting the laptop out. What's the status? What's the condition? I also read on the 'net that this model is notorious for having problems with the motherboard power connector and being really loud. What's your take?

whats the vid card? upgradeable? looking for something with better graphic performance
post #14 of 19

The D600's video card is not upgradeable. It is the ATI Radeon 9000, but it's part of the motherboard. The D600 is a no-frills, business-class machine.

A very solid performer for what it is.

Anybody else? An older Sager perhaps?

whats the video card on that? I have a Sager 4880 that I might want to trade...

It's an ATI Radeon 9000 w/32MB RAM. I have used it to play things like WarHammer 40K, Age of Empires III, Civ IV, etc.

1400x1050 Resolution.
