When you're prompted upon install to select your keyboard from the list, which one do you select?

It really doesn't matter...AFAIK, any you pick will enable the on-screen volume control.

Is is just me or does QuickSet need to be running to use the "Fn" key to do things like eject CD, turn wireless radio off/on, etc?

It does. I noticed this on my 600m. I took off QuickSet and what do ya know? The Fn key could no longer open the CD drive, turn on or off wireless, or see the level indicators for volume and brightness. Re-installed QuickSet and all was good again.

i think that the quickset is fine except for the fact that when you play games and you use the media buttons (/w quickset installed) it will minimize the program (game) and also this sometimes crashes certain newer (and some older) games.

I installed the newest version of intellitype pro (5_32) which is 5.5. I used to have an older version. Now however, whenever Winamp is NOT minimized, the play, stop, pause, next, and previous buttons don't work. They still work perfectly when it's minimized though... Any suggestions??

Can anyone please try this and confirm? I've tried versions 5.0, 5.3, 5.5 and they are all the same. I don't know what version I had previously but it was the one w/ the incremental bars for the volume, not one smooth bar. Damn now I want it back.

UPDATE: Ok I found the one I used to have. It's intellitype Pro 2.2 from here:

you don't need quickset for the hotkeys - not running at least. Deactivate the quickset startup only - watch out to have the igfhkmcd entry still active - the hkmcd is what you need for the hotkeys.

which keyboard do I have to select in the installation of inteli phase for my inspiron630m / xps 140m?

man this ****ed up my winamp controls. now, the play/pause button blips a pause and it continues playing. back and forward still work as does stop. volume has the pretty visual but that's not really necessary the more i think about it. just pretty.
