I agree with Brain, Hammer makes a valid point regarding the delivery times, 3 to 4 weeks is a very long time in the computer world. He also makes a valid point about Alienware's growth pains, We have seen this happen with both Dell and Gateway in the past few years and it seems they are both through it. Unfourtunatley, when a company goes through these things the only preson that really loses is the customer and it's usually a random thing. One customer may get horrible service while 100 get amazing service. I'm sure the computer industry isn't the only industry that suffers from this but it is probablly the one that is most read about on the net.

In retrospect I am actually looking for your post in which you stated how you were calling them everyday from day 1 changing things adding memory then upgrading your warranty and video card knowing the whole time that it could send you back to phase 1 each time yet hoping it wouldnt. Maybe by some cosmic forces I got you confused with someone else. Could have sworn it was you. Apologies if thats the case (Im still looking for the thread).

Still all in all you somehow think Alienware is conspiracing to keep you from getting your laptop. Clearly from even the most minute research searches it would have become obvious that one of the issues that could arise is delivery dates. You had to expect that you could be that lucky someone to get the shank. Be lucky you get a perfect system, be worried your not the statistic for dead pixels, or even worse perhpas in wireless never-neverland. When you consider all the other things that might and sometimes go on, in a laptop purcase, is the single most important-deal braking factor delivery promises? Carrying on and on like such a violated victim of some reality "When Purchase gone Wild" episode. You have yet to even feel like a victim. Consider my "fanatic" AW loayalty, I purchased on 9/7 got it on 9/18, tried to fix it from day one, with tech supports assitance we somehow managed to destroy ever means of builtin communication that came with it. Finally, OS install(s) later AW wants me to send it in for as mobo slot, get sent back somone elses with other problems, finally AW take it back and simply allow me to order a new machine( heck i even order the green this time to make sure it was new). I got the new one at the begining Dec. So I was bounced around 2 mos and change before I got satisfaction.

Now that was a problem. That felt like a rape job. What your rambling and complaining about - they lied! they promised!they lied! magnesium alloy coverup!!! AAAHH!- isnt even near the shoreline of the Problem Boat. I am totaly in love with my cyborg green A51m2 and eagelry await the 256mb video cards. I also opted out of the wireless option because I lost trust it would work after 2 but replaced it with the 3com ABG XJACK (which looks and works really great.). I am also so much happier with the cyborg green, which oddly enough I would never ordered had it not been for the problems I had.


My point is that I DID have a problem and in the end AW made right by me. If I went on a tireless rant apologies. You need to drive the car before you complain about the company who makes it. You canceled out before it even arrived because of some unfortunate snafu. It's as simple as that. Instead you choose to become a "beware" messiah trying to save people from the sins of AW with a hatemonger campaign. Heck thats even an insult to AW hatemongers atleast they drove their cars.

Craig - I really have no issues with anything he wrote. I think you gave him too much attention now by removing his comments (you get sent a copy automatically via email) though I havent paid much attention to any other non bias articles he writes.

The posts that were deleted contained maliscious attacks and profane words. Regardless of what he says.

I'd rather he got attention that way than us not being taken seriously by a newcomer that hopes to find a well directed and monitored forum board.

I still think you're all being really hard on Sonic. I can't imagine having masses of people flaming my every word being any fun. I think it's important that we don't forget that his heart is in the right place. He may be annoying you but to him, he is doing the right thing. Let him have his run for a week or two and he'll eventually calm down enough to leave on his own.

Craig no offense but it really does seem as though you're on a power trip. Instead of deleting entire posts you could at least edit his originals to convey his message without profanity and whatnot. If it's too much of a burden for you, perhaps it's time to hand your role over to someone who can handle it. I'm sure there are people out there who would be happy to fulfill it.

Back to lurking, as I admittedly have canceled my order as well, though in my case I have absolutely nothing against Alienware. I just don't like the Sentia. =)

StormX02, it was a group moderator decision, and there are more than just 4 of us in here. Sonic was warned, yet kept his tirade and PERSONAL attacks on Craig ongoing.

Sonic has already ranted for 2 weeks or so. If you do a search of his posts, you will see that in every sectioned thread he has commented on it, going back two weeks. Sonic has PM spammed people as well.

Craig is not on a power trip, Craig has warned Sonic several times about posting in threads that were not intented for the subject, PM spamming everyone, and the cursing. Craig was just enforcing the rules. I would have done the same....nah I would have owned him a long time ago, so kudos to Craig for being patient.

Be careful not scared. It seems like every product forum i have used has on thing in common there is a lot of complains doesn't matter what product. As those that are having problem tend to voice themselve those that don't don't. In most cases i made the right purchase. sometimes you have read into what someone is saying. This is off subject but I participated in a Saturn forum and one lady whine because her saturn ran out of oil after leaving a jiffy lube she drove the car like 40 miles with the oil light on before the car died but in her mind saturn made a bad product. If someone builds something in mass there will always be something that slips by no matter how through the inspection. Overall the reviews I've seen alienware has great reviews. But if I have problem I will be firm but nice. As I am a tech that works on me I will usually go out of my way to help. Be nasty to me I will fulfill the limits of the contract and no more. You have to take chances purchasing something just educate yourself and make your best choice
