why is this discussion suddenly in almost all threads on this forum. sonic VS the world.
to get an end to this i´d say either ban sonic, or ban all of the other people active in the alienware forum.

no no no... but ban those that cannot post in a sensless way. i for one am getting tired of all these messages posted by sonic. if it was in one thread, fine. but now it´s in many threads, and he also posts private messages to me with that damn beware of link. and that is going over the edge i think.
there is a difference between expressing ones opinion and spamming a whole forum.

I agree that Sonic is taking it to the limit, but he was wronged by the 3 month wait. I would be mad too. I have owned a few AW's and I have had problem with each of the. Mainly the Navigator Extreme and 51m. Tech support tries, but they are not pros and they do not have the power to change things. Sonic I understand you dislike AW. Join the club. Tons of people do, but there are people who have gotten AWs and lived happily ever after. Let them be happy knowing that much.

Overall I have more AWs than any other company, but I am very happy with my 4780 from Sager. That may change my future path at least for lappys. My biggest issue with AW is and has always been false advertising, and I have let them know. So far it has gotten me better service and 200 in Best Buy gift cards. I am working on more because of a continued one in Media Center 2004 saying there Navigators can use Dolby 5.1 channel output, and it is not possible with PowerDVD 4.0 dual-channel program they give you with the Navigator.

Anyway, good luck with AW or anyone else you may choose.

I can understand Sonic that you are a dissatisfied customer based on your experience with Alienware. BUt if this forum was in real life and face to face, and you badger those having a "normal" discussion the way you are doing like a rabid grocery store union striker - the approach is not always welcome. Sure, I will take the minute to listen and empathize. But if you have not convinced me on that first minute, what you say after comes out as "blah blah bLAH blAH BLAH". Then it becomes annoying.

Why not extend your minute of fame by opening a chance for Q&A and interact with members here in a normal fashion like how you would in real life and face to face.

Unless of course you are that type to push down your opinions on others like gospel at the first hint of opposing views and feelings. If this is the case, I suggest taking the time to think why people walk away from you while in mid sentence.

And to brighten the mood a little - you want a banana?

Turn off the computer look out the window realize there is more to life than the computer and monitor in front of you. Breath Deep. Now don't you feel better. Stick with your decisions you did not screw up by chosing alienware they do have certain issues but you are among friends if your computer arives and has issues bring them here we will do the best we can to walk to through it. Computers are like cars some are gonna be lemons. If you get a lemon make lemon aid. (DON'T PUT COMPUTER IN BLENDER!). These machines cost alot but if you get a nice machine in working order then You will be a King among Computer Enthusiest. Please do not be fritend of your choice at least Your not getting an E-machines that is something to fear. (I can't tell you how many of those I have had to fix for people and the crap I have run across.)

Go now and fear no more!



Now lets get to posting some real good Info and specs not others dissatified rants we know they are out there and are now sufficently warned!

I bet there at alienware the little production guys that work 12hr days are having a tough time lately. They are probaly being pushed to thier limits tryingto get all these holiday orders out and managmet is trying to make them go faster. As we all know people under pressur make mistakes sometimes big ones. I would not blame they hardware it is probalbly fine with exception of the A+B+G card It is sub par. The Productionof these machines is probably in over drive for the holiday season. I remember when i got my first computer by myself no help from parents i got a loan for it much like i did for this one except at the time that ones was at 0 intrest but anyhow I ordered it from gateway at the time the hottest computers going back in 97. This was when the first DVD-ROMS came out they where like $200. It got backorderd for 2 months I did not get till my birthday at the end of january when it was supposed to be a christmas present (for myself). So in other works teh holidays is nto the best time to order anything exspecialy if you want it quick. Not that you guys had bad timing its just nex time you may want to wait until after the holidays. Might get better hardware upgrades and the poor lil workes can have abreak for once.

Think of the little guy the aliens must be busting their human slaves into submission to make thier hostile takeover of computer technology complete!

Well I'm not going to cancel because if I do they're probably going to charge me for the waived restocking fee on my laptop. That's $400 and then I wouldn't be able to get a good computer with $400 less dollars.

MaDsK1LLz why don't you get a voodoo or hypersonic. If voodoo they have a watercooled system that's in your prce range. $5000-$7000.
