Personally my first Area51m2 was a bit of a nightmare wiht the wireless not working right and the ethernet port going bad. Sent it in for repairs and it looked like they sent me someother refurb that had different probs. In the end however, AW agreed to cancel my original order and waive the restocking fee. That allowed me to re-order a new Area51m2 with more trimmings for 200 dollars less. I've been a happy camper ever since.
Apparently one of the people on that bewareofalienware site also was allowed to reorder her system and was even told the system could be a little higher in value. So what do they do? They configure a PC that 1000 dollars more than they one they sent back and are actually taken back that AW wouldnt let them do that. Please be real. Maybe they should just give the computer to you for free. What a joke. AW tries to work it out and people just go way overboard and try to take advantage. I could see them taking back a 3000 system and giving you a 3200 system but please you send back a 3000 dollar system and expect them to give you a 4000 dollar system? Heck why did you stop there you should have added a 50 inch plasma screen.
Lastly, Sonic what did you honestly expect from AW? You were changing your system specs twice a day every other day and you wanted the computer on time? Please get a reality check going there. If you change your order that much you should have expected delays. You must be a restuarants worst nightmare. Change your order 6 times and wonder why everyones eating but you.
I could even understand your complaints if you had a system but you changed your order 60 times and then cancelled. Had you had a little patience and just waited till you actually recieved your laptop you might have been overjoyed. So if the biggest complaint you got going is that you had to wait for your order (due to being a pansy) you really need to get yourself checked out somewhere. You want to complain about a product you never even owned? You want to complain about how long it was taking your order because you kept changing your config at ever phase? Am I missing something guys?
Please I think AW came out on top not having you as a customer. You strike me as the type to complain that the box that your laptop was delivered in was scratched. I could go on and on but whats the point....
