Dell M70 - Is the GFX memory seperate?

Hi Guys,

Quick questions.

I was running memtest on my M70 the other night, and I noticed it said 256mb reserved memory.

When I've seen this before it's been because someone was using onboard video which was sharing the ram.

Does anyone know for sure if the FX1400Go in the M70 has it's own 256mb ram, or is it shared, hence my 1gb of ram is really 756mb when in game?

Thanks guys

My M70 shows a total of 1G ram. The memory is not shared with the GPU. The GPU has its own memory.

Thanks for taking the time to respond CJ

If anyone else has anything to add feel free, but I have a feeling that the card does have it's own ram as well.

The 1400 would definately have its own RAM. Its a workstation card, and would not use shared RAM.
