BEWARE: ripped off by a seller!

Several weeks ago, I placed a wanted ad here. I finally made a deal with someone and sent him $650 via Paypal.

Unfortunately, he never sent me a tracking number for the shipment (as promised), nor has he responded to my repeated attempts to contact him. Looks like I've been ripped off!

The seller's name is:
Jason Remuski
Ramuski2005@yahoo.com

I'd suggest everyone avoid him in the future. He was posting here for a while trying to sell a Dell Inspirom 9300.

you know what i do, i type up contracts for the seller/trader people to sign... it may sound funny but when i deal with buying or trading i always do that... especially on the internet, on forum sites like this, maybe next time you can do that... if s/he doesnt live up to his/her signature take his/her ass to court... you know?... it works every time with me and i have no feed back or anything and that ususally convinces the seller or person with the product that i want to get, to ship first after i send them a contract! ... just trying to help ... try it next time you trade/sell/buy.... it should work im 99 percent sure of it!!... also i recently signed up with heatware not that that matters with this post, i just figured i'd say it for everyone to know who reads this thread... hehe!

again... just trying to help

take care and good luck next time,

take em to court anyway if your somewhat nearby, you have a verbal contract that will hold up just as well as a written contract, better even if you can prove it in email/IM

If by any chance he is in the twincities area message me with his info he gave you..

Ditto that. I can cover Minneapolis and SubZero's got St. Paul. We'll smoke the evil doer out of his cushy lair.

don't be stupid and do that. Paypal sucks and they don't care and most likely you won't get your money back. If you paid by credit card, contact your credit card company. Don't bother with paypal at all (by my experience). If paid by non-credit card, contact trollhunters.com for help.

I hope you catch him, $650 is a lot of money.

as for safety measures in anything...

get the home address, and look it up on internet for home phone number, contact the member through their home phone, nothing else...then get a cell phone for easier contacting...that way you always have a home address in case you need to call the local authorities in their city...

i got scammed out of a laptop, but i did some research on the fool earlier and got his home information, called his house at 4 am in the morning, talked to the mother, made clear that i meant business, called the local pd down at their place, and the mother got the phone number, and a week later the fool returned it.

Thanks for the tips!
I will definately not let this go! It's a shame that some people are so dishonest! When I find out his personal info, I'll be sure to post it!

Bless You!

What a wonderful resource! PayPal sucks is full of great info & referred me to another great site...I just filed a complaint with the IFCCFBI (division of the FBI) and received a quick response!

This is actually going to be fun... seeing this worm fried!
