centrino sticker replacement? - Page 2

I would pursue getting that Centrino sticker no matter what it takes. I like mine very much Let us know if you finally get the sticker from Dell.

I like my stickers, but I don't like how the wear off. They'd almost be better to not be there even though I like how they look and showing off my Centrino power. lol

i have given up. dell keeps telling me they can send them toi mme on a new touchpad, and everytime i get one (now on the 4th one sent), they are bare.

its a shame on dells efforts, but what am i gonna do? im not buying them on ebay.

it would be surprising if the palmpads came with the stickers. after all, if dell isntalled a palmpad with either or both stickers on a system that wasn't centrino and/or windows xp, then there would be issues. forget about the stickers, and just tell the buyer that the computer is as you have pictured but without the stickers.

i have decided not to sell it after all. i have gotten used to the non-sticker look.

as long as it doesnt affect performance right (: haha

lol @ stickers.

I peeled off my xp and centrino stickers on my 8600 in the first week cause it was scratched. I still have my stickers on my 6000d though.. but I'm not gonna remove them cause of the extra work

I cant beleive this thread is still going.. So dont buy them. As I stated in my posting above just stop in ANY local PC shop and ask them for one. I know the owner of 1 of the small local shops here and he has a few buckets with different stickers in them. Just a thought. Worth a try if you still need one.

I'd like to get a 7800gtx sticker once I get it...just to show off.
So you called them dozens of times and had them send you four replacement parts just to get a $0.99 Centrino sticker?

No wonder they outsourced their tech support to India

i didnt call them once. i chatted with online tech support twice. and ended up with 4 orders.

blah. i wouldnt do that 4 times for a sticker.

results baby, results....oh wait its dell (:

You got four Palmrests by just chatting? Damn, I had to make three phone calls to get mine replaced (gotta love Complete Care though - I had just scratched it up and they sent a new one free) on my D810.

Could have told you it would not have come with the stickers. I got the Centrino and XP sticker off of eBay for $1.99.

Maybe Dell considers the stickers as just a free courtesy on new systems? If you look at the pictures of all Dells on their site and catalogs, no stickers are seen.

What's the best way to remove the stickers w/out messing up the case? Also does anyone else get those skin reminent prints on there too? Any suggestions for cleaning those? Thanks.

easiest way= get on dell online chat, and tell them your mouse button broke.

theyll send you a new palmrest, WITH 0 stickers.

i think thats the best way to remove them, dont you?

goo gone works great to get rid of the gluey skin. otherwise you can just get the thing warmed up and just work the stuf off or use sticky tape to get it off too.

Yes, those sticky tapes are good, especially those transparent ones used for sealing boxes!!!
