Which one of these routers should I get? - Page 3

Netgear 614v5

Just to chime in, I've been using my Netgear 614v5 for over 3 months and it's been very consistant and stable. I use it hardwired with my desktop and I run a wireless laptop and a wireless pda off it. I have it set up with WPA and I can stream video to my laptop w/o any problems. Signal range is awesome too in my 2 bedroom apartment. I purchased it a while back for ~$20 as a combo pack with a wireless pccard.

I also just bought a WRT54Gv4 but haven't begun setting it up yet so I don't know how it compares.

alright also I'm trying to setup my linksys wrt54g and I have to choose if I have dhcp or static IP or some other choices but I think its dhcp or static not sure 100% though. After I choose one it brings up another screen. If I choose static I need to enter my IP adress, Subnet Mask, Gateway, DNS 1-2. If it is static where do I find all the information I need to input IP subnet, exc.? If I chose dhcp then it brings me to the screen where I have to type my domain name and host name. If it is a dhcp connection where do I find my domain name and host name? Others have said to leave it blank but if I do that then it will not connect to the internet on the internet test screen of the setup wizard.
