I wonder when Alienware will sell both the Prescott and the Extreme Edition. The 3.2E with 1mb cach at $278 seems like the sweet spot. Prescott at over $900 for Q1 seems out of reach for anyone looking at value.
Can the Alienware's SiS mobo handle these chips, or do you think a new board will be required? I was under the impression that the pinout for these chips are the same as current CPUs and this will not change until Prescott 3.8. So my guess is that it wouldn't be a problem.
