What are the risks of overclocking?

I know heat is not good but are there any other risks to consider. The reason I'm asking is because I auto overclocked my geforce go 6800 ultra to 495 mhz and the hottest it got under load was 78 C. Are there any other factors to consider other than heat?

overclocking eventually leads to faster degradation of ur graphics card...
but with a warranty, it shouldn't be that much of a problem...
u also run the risk of blowing it, but that won't happen unless you overclock extremely high, which means you're a complete idiot, because that's quite hard to do...

My overclock reaches about 84 C.
Hot, but I plan on adding some as5...

and the fast degradation is like 10-15 years instead of 50 -60 years so its not going to mater much

I get 5900 points with 3dmark05 so I'm happy. I will upgrade to a 7800 GTX in a few months anyway. What clock speeds are you guys running at?
