How are Fujitsu brand laptop keyboards?

My toshiba one flexes and bounces horribly, so I was thinking getting a Fujitsu one, the guy said its noticeably thicker. So I was wondering if this should get rid of it or if the keyboard wont matter.

Well one thing I like about my Amilo M3438G's keyboard is that it's almost silent to use.

I can't say how it compares with other lappies as this is my first.

Nice action keys, though. Not much effort required to push them, but there's a reassuring (albeit silent) "latch" as you push the key over the threshold. It's all very smooth.

Not sure how I can describe it further.

hmm interesting. so they dont creak or flex at all hey? i wonder if i put this in my toshiba and it gets rid of the flexing. is the flexing a keyboard issue solely? hmmm

There has been several issues with the Lower right hand end on the keyboard "flexing". A gap between the keyboard and the steel bottom beneath. I have exchanged my notebook for other reason and the first one worked great regarding this. Now I have this problem. Its apparent when using the arrow-keys and area around. It does not bother me because Im very very happy with th rest.

The "feel" of the keyboard is however great and its perfect sized.

Ya same thing with my toshiba and the couple different keyboards ive tried for it. It seems to be the bottom corner buttons (incl. arrow keys), i dont know whats up wit hthat. Im just trying to think if its even worth the 45min trip here to that shop to try out the fujitsu one. Who knows, the type of keyboard might not even make any difference. hmmm

Hello.
I am an owner of an M3438G. I am very happy with it - no lagging issues. Only thing is the right arrow key, it makes a noise when pushed down. If i hold the spot above it (blank thing thats not a key) while i push it, its fine.

Actually, its similiar with all arrow keys, but its most noticable with the right one.
It seems like it wouldnt be screwed tight enough :S

Did anyone else have similiar problem ?
If not, any ideas on how i could fix that ?
Is it possible to take out the keyboard, and put it back in ?

I have a N6410 and my keyboard is rock solid. No flexing at all. Very solid and responsive feel when typing.

I own a N3530 and the keyboard rocks! super solid! the entire unit is solid! its got one hell of a beautiful screen!

i have the s6240 and the keyboard is so horrible. The left side of the keyboard is flexing when i type. I still think that the thinkpad keyboard is rock solid.

Mine is good, no flexing and responsive. Kind of noisy though, it may due to my typing style.

I'm a careful typer - that's my style - and I like the feel of the Fujitsu and how sensitive the keys are.

So it bothers me to no end when I lend it to someone else and they start hammering away on my keyboard. It's because they're not used to sensitive keys, I suppose.

it's solid, no flex. feels like a desktop keyboard, a good one. Im running the N6410, it has a full size keyboard (incl numpad). I have, however, within 2 months of use, worn down/out the letters printed on the keys. dunno if this is a common problem. other then that, it's great. the cadillac of notebooks.

Yea the keyboard on my Uniwill 258KA0 I believe it's the exact same model as the fujitsu amilo xxxx series the keyboard is great, although i do agree about the arrow keys being somewhat odd with the spacing they put around it. The kays work great, they don't wear easily and they are pretty quiet for the most part, it all depends on your touch i think. rock solid none the less
