Inspiron 6000 question

Just got a dell inspiron 6000 with an ati radeon x3000 graphics card this isnt going to be a gaming machine or anything. The graphics are generally good except for images on the internet are pixelated. Images within the OS are crisp and text within the internet is crisp also just graphic images on the internet are messed up. Any ideas? or is this normal?

x3000? Damn that must be a sick card

Its just the internet, ur cards not gonna show pictures crisp if they themselves are not posted up at good resolutions, so no matter waht u have, if the picture is crap ur gonna see it as crap.

are you using a dial-up accelerator? if so thats whats causing the pics to look like that..and that is how the "acceleration" works.

No I have a broadband wifi connection but I just got the thing today. I went to my friends computer and the internet images were crisp (when I say internet images im talkin about logos like those on yahoo and google.com) But I looked at some pictures on his computer and they look a lot better on mine its just internet images I use windows media center I'm not sure what settings I need to change cause I doubt a bad card would only screw up on internet graphics anyone know what the problem is?

And how would I know if a dialup accelerator is running?

I'd check in the advanced display options and make sure you are set to 96dpi.

Yea change the DPI, i had the same problem with mine. Also, if you scroll further down there is a dell forum where you could have gotten a much faster response.
