Hey guys, I just typed up a story for my Creative Writing class and just noticed that it did not come with a floppy drive haha Do you guys recommend any brand or model of external floppy drive? or perhaps one of those external memory sticks or whatever they are called, the USB ones.

Do these new bioses allow you to boot off a USB drive?

Blackcat - yeah, that seems to be the latest trend in systems. When I got my EX7, I got an USB floppy with it just to have. Nice thing is - since the system didn't need the floppy when I shipped it, I still have the floppy drive. Comes in hand on any of my systems.

I would do as DB mentions… If you have to do floppies, go with a usb drive. If you can access (and use) a USB port at school - maybe a memory stick (USB flash drive) is a better solution. You can definitely store a lot more on those. My daughter did a project and it was in Powerpoint. Ended up being 12mb - she tried to put it on a floppy…. Ok, I have to make her smarter. But that is when I introduced her to a flash drive. Definitely another option.

Good luck!

They are really handy when dealing with massive amounts between machines!

I ordered the usb floppy drive from Hypersonic with my new CX7. Definately comes in handy. Check pricegrabber, my simon, or Wally World (Wal-Mart)
