3,970.00 thats the price it shows now on the same config system that I had for 3699. I was planning to order on the x-mas day but now they can forget it. How f*** up to take advantage of the x-mas time when it should be the opposite.

It's all about supply and demand.

I email my rep and hopefully he has power

You need to call or email Nelson he's the CEO and he might be able to do something.

More likely they are looking to recoup those canceled orders!

I think they are just trying to recoup all the money they have lost the last two months from canceled orders. I know of 9,000 dollars worth of canceled orders just in the last week.

GPU upgrade

Look the GPU upgrade deal is really bogus any way you look at it, Alienware says their lap tops are upgradable, you can upgrade the GPU, CPU, yada yada, but what they don't tell you is that Intel has a history of changing their pin count on their CPU's which means the board makers have to change their boards, which means you don't have a real upgrade path.

Lap tops have never been real upgradable and never will be, you just can't build that into such a small package.

Heck Intel Desk Tops have a hard time being upgradable without having to change the motherboard with each new intel CPU.

WOW Voodoo is finally cheaper than someone

Once again...uninformed and generally negative in perspective.

Both ATi and Nvidia have signed on the support the Aw51m for their next generation of video cards.

It has nothing to do with mobo pin config or whatever rabbit you pulled out of the hat.

If you can hold off for a few more weeks, the 8790 will be out. It'll offer a lot more than Voodoo's m:750 for less than that obscene price!
