I was playing games at compusa on their -ware display computer and i asked the girl of any websites i could look at for laptops. She told me to get on pricewatch.com and search there. It then took me 2 months to realize what Sager was till i finally did a google search for it. I came up with plenty of results, and searching through i found these forums. I bought my 8890 that night!!!

How did you find Sager?

I found them through the sager boards. I was actually looking at Alienware but the Sagers have won me over. I am going to order an 8790 through PC Torque when they are released. CANNOT WAIT!!!

A friend of mine was in the market for a laptop and search for two months and finally found sager. He ordered his from PCTouque because of the prices, later he found these forums. He then introduced me to both his laptop and this forum, from that point on I had nothing else on my mind except saving up and getting my sager. My 8890 has been everything I had wanted. And I couldn't have gotten it from anybody else.

I was looking for a laptop computer back in 1994 as I was comuting to work daily and needed a computer there and at home (I tried to carry my desktop back and forth but that got old after about 3 days) so I started researching laptops. I found SAGER in Computer Shopper (back in the days when it could compete with the old Sears Roebuck catalogs). SAGER had the mostest for the leastest and that wonderful 30 day no questions asked return policy. I figured they had to be pretty good to offer that. After checking out the company with BBB and whomever else I could bother, I ordered one and it was fantastic. I gave my desktop to my daughter and haven't looked back ever since. I'm currently on my 6th SAGER with no complaints to date. I hope they continue to offer the leading edge at the best prices.

diced with the devil on www.x1000forums.com looking at buying a Compaq x1000 until I read all the things going wrong with it (kb, case cracking, display issues). Someone mentioned Sager and included a link to this wonderful forum.

I can't say I was an immediate convert. I think the black on black look of the web site put me off at first - I thought you guys might have been some sort of satanic cult. It took some more research and I came back to visit just to make sure I had covered all alternatives - then I read about the 8890 .

All in all it took 2 months of research to find this forum then another month to read all the posts and check out who PC Torque was. Glad I stopped long enough to get to know I could handle a Sager (although there was one point in time after I made a 8890 out of CD's that almost scared the crap out of me ).

Me and my friend love betting over anything. One day, we were betting over football, but was looking for things to bet. $$$ is kind of boring, not much fun. So, I saw his 8890 lappy. I was impressed. A lappy with keypad. He bragged on and on and on about the power, the screen, the feature, the gadget and etc...... So, we ended betting his 8890 and my desktop. I won. So, that how I got mine..... hehehe.... and of course this is all just a joke

That would have been if it were true.

About a year ago, I was getting tired of my desktop. I was taking online course and had to watch lectures for hours. I hate sitting still and moving my desktop every single hour is a pain. oh also.... I love computer with TV tuner... So, I went to ebay. Kind of pessimistic that I would find a lappy with tv tuner, but what the hech... I gave it a shoot. Who knows what kind of thing ebay has these days? you name it And I found powernotebook auctioned their sager. I was amazed and drooled over these laptops pictures. One day, I went to google and search for Sager. Found this forums... I followed the forum for over a year, without being a member I liked 8889, but heard the upcoming release of 8890. So, while I was saving, I keep glued my eyes to the forum. One day, I woke up, I found out I have enough saving for 8890 and it was just in time for 8890 release. I can't be happier with this lappy. A great one.. There was some little glitches, but none I recalled was bad hardware... Mainly software and the great people in this forum have been super helpful.

Merry Christmas to everyone

discuss.madonion.com recommended Sager to me, and I've been stuck on these boards ever since

I was looking for a laptop for gaming so I did lots of searches in google with different words flipped around and I found AW and Sager and all these other companies that didn't even offer laptops. I would have gotten a 5680 but I didn't like the chassis, I liked the new AW chassis. So I ordered the AW and for 2 1/2 weeks I had it and said why don't I return it and order a 5680 from PCT. Unfortunately I returned it and ordered an AW desktop. I changed my mind and said I wanted an AW desktop.

I was looking through ebay at laptops and eventually stumbled on alienware laptops and the silver *100% like alienware but not* laptops. But I always thought them to be a bit to extreme with the fancy colors and the *alien* experience a little bizarre for buying a computer. Anyway found out their OEM was clevo and searched them up on google. Later learned about sager and other clevo sellers. The first sager site I found was the one with all the jesus freaks there. I thought it a little werid their web page had so much god on it. LOL

I heard someone on the AW forums mention pctorque. Now I have a 4780. Great advertising AW.

I do not remember how I found Sager. Probably google. I always go to google first (and last). Hopped on these forums almost a year ago (registered a month or so later) and the rest is near-history.

Fortunately, PC Torque (at the time) was offering painted laptops - the first time I'd heard of that (of course, I never owned a laptop prior to my 8887), so that sealed the deal.

2 of my family members bought Sager laptops and their quality looked very good, so, now, about 3/4 of a year later, I finally ordered mine and it should be here on monday if UPS doesnt **** up. I found these forums when googling for "gaming laptop" when i was bored one day.

I was going to buy an Alienware, but my friend ordered a 5670. I compared his to another friend that had gotten an Alienware, and the 5670 was better. So I got my 5670, a friend saw mine and got the 8887, and that went on and on until our company has a total of 8 Sager owners. I think I should get a commission (maybe a free 5680).

Computer Shopper circa 1999. Helped a friend order one and then got one myself in 2000. Using it right now. Found this forum using one of the search engines on the web.
