Acer Travelmate 8200 Cabon Fiber Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology - Page 2

more like slightly lower performance than a 6800 go, not alot faster . . .
x1600 is more like a 4 pipe card because of its 4 TMU config.(x700 has 8 and 6800 has 12).

The thread you linked is for the desktop version, which has different specs than the mobile version. As for how many pipes it has . . . I don't know, someone here probably does though.

3dmark05 score: 3824 (with default settings) a 65% improvement from the x700
(EDIT TYPO) 3dmark03 score: 7195 (with default settings)

I thought 3dmark05 was around 4000, 7200 is way to high - thats more like a nv7800. But its an awesome graphics card for mainstream laptpops.

Well, depedning on what you look at. The 3dMark05 for the two card is so close that while the Doom3 numbers are lower than the 6800, I would like to see the 6800's HL2 number compared to the X1600 and I'm sure they are not running with optimal drivers yet (would love the see the numbers with Mobility 5.12). Remember that when the Go6800 first came out, it only bench ~3100 on 3dMark05.

it only benched 3100 because it was the ddr2 version. The 6800 GOs that are released now have gddr3 ram in them.
