The Decemeber issue of Maximum PC (Best Gear of the Year '05) has named the Dell XPS Gen 2 notebook as this years best laptop. They mention that it provides stable and competitive performance while refraining from scolding the crotchle area. 9 out of 10 rating.

My legs do get very warm because of the notebook.
Freaks my body out sometimes as it is trying to divert all this direct intense heat and keep everything in order.
"Is it warm in here guys or is it just me?"
But this mostly happens when I game intensly.
And when I game, it's mostly on a desk or table.
But still to note that mine gets hot enough at the sides where it resides on my legs.
