Had this for only a few days now and the screen just want blank. I had it on battery with the screen closed. Plugged in the network cable and the power cord, then opened the screen, now it's just white?!

Oh man, this sucks! Anyone know how to fix this?

1st step would be to try and boot it up in safe mode and see if it still does it. Push F8 while booting up and it should give you the options.

No luck, still completely white. It's white even before windows starts loading, like when it should show the black screen with the initialization text as soon as you boot.

I am plugged into a different monitor right now so that I can type these messages and it works fine on a different monitor.

Right click the desktop background using the external monitor...
-Click the "Settings" tab
-Click "Advanced"
-Click the "Displays" tab
and verify the LCD is lit up and enabled. Also, from the "Settings" tab try to change the resolution. If you feel it's a bad unit, call:
1-800-741-2219 8:30am-5:30pm PST M-F and they may have something for you to also try, if not, they will get you an RMA#.

Any Canadian toll-free number? Or if not, what's the non-toll free number?

Ibm thinkpads had a similar problem 2 years ago, on those, it was a problem with the connector they use to connect the lcd to the motherboard/videocard. They only used one screw to hold it in place or something, but yeah ... that sounds like the same problem.

You think it's just a connector?

Something loose kind of thing?

Called Sager and they are going to send me a new one 2-3 day express. I'm glad they don't make me send htis one back first. I get to keep this one until I get the other one. Luckily i kept my old 19" monitor to work off.

Ya, not too shabby. No questions asked really. They had me fiddle with the LCD connection wire under the keyboard and no luck, so they said ok, we'll send a new one out.

Just hope it gets here by friday because I'm going away and that is what i bought the laptop for in the first place!!!

Thanks for help Adam. Little pctorque.com plug
