First off, congrats on your puchase. Second, don't worry about all those bad posts. Most of those posts are people that are pissed and want some way to get back thier dignity. Advice, have patients, relax and enjoy the comedy of the forums.

He waited a long time and didn't get his laptop and he's really mad and he's trying to brag about he didn't have to wait and get his Gateway laptop.

hey computer looks good. Did you order before they shot the prices up?
Also everything looks good. This fourm helped me pick the best for my notebook should be done next week. I hope anyways I read on here to not get the automated tech support(Alienautopsy) also if you could afford the 3 year warranty it would be worth it because you can't upgrade after it ships. I got it because anything I spend $3000 on I want a good warranty. I also read there was a lot of dead pixals(sp?) so its good to have that.
Just my advise
Hope this helps
Also this place ha answers to everything you'll ever need to know about AW glad I found this fourm because they helped me a lot

PVITALE,

Welcome to the club dude!

I would also recommend getting the 3 year warranty. It will cover that great big screen (as well as a myriad of other components) for any dead pixels for quite sometime.

Not that the screens are bad in any way, but LCD's have a history of dropping at least a few pixels in that timeframe. You should see my Compaq Armada. Eeek!

Again, congrats!!

Congradulations,

Your specs are almost the exact same as the one I just got except I ordered the 3 year warrenty, DVD Burner, and Alien Adrenaline ( which I recommend for the warrenty on overclocking.) If you have patience and understand that like any computer when you first get it you're gonna need to tweak it some ( my favorite part). Then you'll be very happy with your purchase. I've owned both Gateway and Dells and built a few desktops and all I can say about this laptop is that I'm very very impressed.

That's what this forum is for the reason I ordered Alien Adrenaline is from reading this forum. I think it was from one of Craig's posts.

If you wanted a laptop before christmas you should have went with a Sager 5680.

They do have the exact same performance, you just dont get the AW case. Enjoy it when you get it though, i hate AW's "phase" thing.

I appreciate your commment. I heard of the system your speaking of but I have to say every magazine all you see is alienware which made me very comfortable. Every review about the system is great. I really never heard saager until this website. I am not saying it's not good it probally is the same thing. Also I have to say I am a sucker for the case as well. thanks again for the comment.

Wish I knew about Sager... I ordered my Alienware *despite* the case. And I take it Sager is cheaper? Can't be too much cheaper, AW is actually pretty competetive vs. Dell etc.

Check out www.pctorque.com

It is the best hot rodder of Sager around. Excellent products and excellent support.
