I contacted a guy on ebay about his xps gen2 and why he was selling it and he said that when he bought it him and his wife were allready in debt so he bought it anyway and he said it was like adding fuel to a fire....... so he is selling it, how many of you guys would be willing to sell your monster machine for your loving wife?????????
Depends how much I could get for my wife...

I don't know if I could part with my little woman over an xps2. She can plow atleast 12 Hectares of field per day, and pick 20 barrels of potatoes. If I gave that up I'd have to do it myself and spend less time with the xps... tough decision.

Is the woman Sofia Vergara? Jessica Alba?
i'm not even married and i would do it, i currently have to choose between my Sony VX2000 camcorder or my i9300. obviously the camera is going to go
I don't mind as long as i get to keep my computer.

but yeah if i HAD to sell both i would and then i'd build myself a decent desktop for real cheap to keep everyone happy

ya, she's better than Sofia Vergara or Jessica Alba

Do something productive instead of GAMING all day?

If I wasn't in school, had a family or wife, you know I'd probably NOT sit on my lazy ass all day and play games while the family rots in financial and other types of hell.

Yeah I would sell mine to help out the financial situation... not that I would enjoy doing it though....
I would not get in that financial situation to begin with.

Haha.. good point Jordan.. but financial probs aren't always avoidable.. example: my girlfriends dad got laid off and he lost his insurance and my girlfriend had to have emergency surgury.... he got another job but he is still paying on the surgury

If you have to sell a top of the line gaming laptop to get out of a financial issue, then you have more then just financial issue. You have a brain issue.

Now you want to know if we'd get rid of all computers and stop gaming for a woman? I'm sorry... but I would not say yes to this and let this be fuel for a woman to use on her poor husband. Being expectant of one another is BS. If you married the person you already should be past the 90day "fake personality" period and agreed that you loved them and will love whoever they become down the road.

I would not ask a woman to drop their hobbies for me. And in bad times (like that couple in debt) you need a hobby/release more than ever because stress is at it's worst. I would sell my car and buy a cheap one in cash to eliminate a car payment and lower the insurance to save alot of money each month over a one time pay-out. Besides... selling that again on ebay probably means he lost money in the deal. And that is just stupid to "lose" money when you're in debt. So I would've kept the laptop and found areas where I could save money on a monthly basis to better my life... not sell a toy and expect that money to make everything go away.

I'd recommend seeking a financial counselor before selling possessions to pay on debts, especially a possession that will probably lose money in the sale.

n to the op, it's just a machine, i mean when people go into debt, they have to sell their cars and house. so a computer is not even that big of a deal
