Forgive me if this is some simple problem, but I have never had anything like this happen to me before.
My sager 3790, which is about 1 year and 3 months old, has latley (last week or so) started turning off on me at random times, and it is becomming more frequent to where I am lucky to have it on more than 30 min. It will shut off completly, and will do so regardless of what I am doing, even shuts off when I am not using it, and shuts off regardless of if it is connected to a power source or running on battery. When I say shut off, I mean completely, and it does it suddenly, there are no "shutting down screens" goes from on to off in about 1 second, while making a sound which I think is the hard drive stopping to spin.
I dont know if this is in any way related but also recently my memory usage, which I monitor through google desktop, has gone up tremendously. It now is always about 50% or more, even when I first start my computer. Previously it would hover around 15-20% and only go up when I was doing hardcore gaming. In generally I think I take very good care of my machine, always doing virus/spyware scans, and running the usual maintainence (defragment, windows updates,etc.) Also I have not added any new programs or changed any settings any time recently.
I have not been good about updating drivers but I dont see why this would all of a sudden cause this problem.
Anyways, any ideas? have any of you had this problem?
