i've ordered this power supply, can someone verify with me that it is the correct one for my 7800gtx upgrade?

Since you have already ordered isn't it a little late to be checking? Looks like the right one though...

The sticker is vertical instead of horizontal... which means if it is a 130watt brick that it is from an older model (like a 5150 or something of the like) I am guessing.

Does it matter if its from a 5150?

No, there have been a couple people on here who have said that they have an extra 130w PSU from a 5150 and it has worked fine.

I'm not too nervous, i have many years of experience riping apart desktop computers, this laptop is so nice its hard to think i'm going to do such a thing to it lol

Darkloki a member of these forums has already done it and he's going to walk me though it via msn messenger and my parents desktop computer

also i did a warm up run to check what heatsink i have so i guess i've already half opened it so i'm not as intimidated now.

Should be great, coming from this 6800go,512mb ram and 1.73 i should have basicly twice the performance after i install my 2gigs,7800gtx,and pin-mod. sadly the pin-mod will only happen once i sell my 6800go and not at the same as i install my new card and ram, so it will still be a big difference, but i would have liked to be wowed by the 7800gtx for the first time with my i9300 fully maxed out. oh well the pin-mod will give me something to look foreward to

ok im a newbie, but basically how drastic a mod is pin modding? Im concerned in case i have to send my laptop back to dell under warranty. I dont want to void it. When did u buy your I9300? Im waiting for my 7800 to mod my pc. From most posts ive read noone has had to add a new 7800 heat sink as it is already shipped with the i9300 models.

the pin-mod doesnt seem to be too crazy, just add the little wire in the right 2 holes. the only thing that i'm nervous about is AS5. wich i'm not going to do on my 7800gtx untill i pin-mod as there is no reason to overclock my card with my current processor.
