HI. Just got my 8887 yesterday (came in a day early) and I was wondering if the latest drivers are already installed. When I was playing CounterStrike, theres was an occasional skip in the gameplay and Im thinking its the drivers. Thanks.

Sager doesn't have a page for it yet, but I'm guessing the 8886 drivers will do:

That's the thing. The drivers that ship on installation CDs are usually fully functional, but not the latest. For the latest ones, you need to go on the internet. For example, for the latest video ATI driver, you should check:

SO if I install the ones on the disk, can I DL the latest ones and overwrite old ones?

You can always re-install drivers (even older ones) assuming that's what you want. So yes, you can install the ones on the disk, and then overwrite them with newer (or older) ones. I say older sometimes because it's possible that a newer driver is a beta, or isn't complete, or whatever, and then you may want to 'revert' to an older "better" set. That's why whenever you are testing a critical driver (such as video), you should make sure to backup whicher good working driver you have and make sure it's accessible before trying out anything too wild.

You should always first uninstall the old ones first and manually pull any extra files from the regestry, or run reg cleaner. Stick with the default video drivers for now. I'm testing different drivers out to try and find the best solution which may be what's on the CD.
