For Christmas my mom wants two speakers for her (no-name but OK-sounding) component stereo system. She complains that the ones she has are too big, and she keeps trying to hide them with wreaths and fake fruit and all manner of decoration. Stealth placement is not an option. So I'm looking for a smaller set with big sound for under $100 if possible, $150 at the most, that can sit in or on top of an entertainment center, maybe 12" high max. I don't know what kind of connections her system requires, but it's probably basic. I was hoping you all could recommend something compact with good sound. Thanks.
