Averatec 2150?

Thread Starter
Hello everyone, I didn't see an Averatec section anywhere, so I thought this would be the appropriate place to post. A friend of mine is interested in getting a laptop, and has told me about the Averatec 2150. I haven't really heard much about them, and tried searching this forum but came up with nothing. The specs are as follows...

Model # 2150-EH1
CPU AMD Turion™ 64 MT-28
OS Microsoft ® Windows ® XP Home Edition
LCD Size 12.1" WXGA
Optical Drive Dual DVD Burner
Hard Drive 80 GB
Memory 512MB DDR
Wireless LAN 802.11g
USB (3x) 2.0
DimensionsWxDxH) 11.9" x 8.86" x 1.24"
Weight (lbs.) 4.4lbs.
Part # AV2150-EH1

Does anybody have this laptop, or have heard of any problems with these? I believe it comes with a 1 year warranty. My friend is planning on buying it from Costco for about $950, does anybody know if it's possible to get it any cheaper (new)? Sorry for all the questions, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

this is NOT a gaming laptop.

the price is good, it is the same as the msi 1013, just with an averatec logo. google around for some msi 1013 reviews to see what it is like. ive seen it at costco and i would recommend it. its got a very nice lcd and it isnt cheaply made like most other averatecs(because it is an msi).
