9860 does not recognize HDD's

I have a 9860 that during boot up one day just stoped recognizing my raid array. The raid bios did not even recognize the drives as being attached. I disabled the raid and went directly to ATA mode with a known good HDD and it still does not recognize any HDD's. Im about to send this back to SAGER for repair but its out of warranty. I attempted to flash the bios but the utility required a OS to install the flash utility. Any suggestion, words of wisdom or even condolences would be more than welcome at this point.

Has any one else lost there ATA controller? Did it require a Mobo swap? How much did it run you?

The only time my drives were not recongized was when the connector that attaches to the MB was not pushed down all the way. Since you have already tried another HDD that means that you have at least reconnected it a couple of times. I would make sure it is pushed down all the way. But don't push so hard it harms the MB.
