Help, small fire and smoke from the screen area.

Had a somewhat scary event as smoke came out from the
area where the screen cables connect to the
motherboard on my d87p. I took off the plate and
looked to see the damage and I noticed that two of the
three wires had burned totally through.

This all happened after I had shut the machine down.
For some reason the green lights on the back cover of
the screen when closed were still flickering so I
opened it up to see if it had shut down wrong and then
suddenly smoke and a small burst of flame came out of
the area where the wires are. Anyhow, there are 3
wires a red, orange, and yellow one in a brownish/gray
casing. Two are burnt through and the third still
remains for the most part attached though I am scared
to even close the screen as I fear it will break the
wire. I guess my question is what are these wires and
how do I go about getting this part fixed. The
machine appears to function fine without them though I
imagine that it's good not having them not working and
can expect greater problems soon. There are also two
more wires under that bundle including a black and a
gray one which seem to have escaped this bizzare
occurance for the most part unscathed. I've attached
images to show you what exactly has happened.
Unfortunately this thing is out of warranty and I'm
somewhat hesitant to send it in without some initial
advice. Thanks...

I THINK they might be to the camera on the top as it appears that there are matching wires up there. Still, I'd love to hear back from anyone who might be in the know on this issue. Thanks!

The black and gey wires are probably the antenna connections for the WIFI and Bluetooth. The other wires most likely go to the invertor and backlights for the LCD.

Aha...I think they are actually to the webcam built in the top. There is a matching connection I found up there. Soooo...I've just disabled that and unplugged it from the motherboard completely. Hopefully that will prevent further issues with it. Just wondering why the fire started in the first place now. =\
