FS: XPS M170 (Basically new - specs inside)

Now, I am not sure I am going to sell. I am still mulling the idea over in my mind. Basically, I love the laptop, but dislike the fact that I can't have things like a 250gig HD, SLI'd 7800 GTXs, etc. Originally I thought it would be good for its portability, but then I realized that with all the extra stuff I will be getting (stand, mouse, keyboard), I might as well just get the desktop.

So, here are the specs:

Intel® Pentium® M Processor 760 (2 GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB)
Windows XP Professional
17 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife™ (It's a Samsung)
1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz 2 Dimm
100GB 7200rpm Hard Drive
8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
Intel® PRO 2200 and Dell 350 Bluetooth Internal Wireless Cards
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7800 GTX
9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery (80 WHr) (Plus an additional one)
1Yr Ltd Warranty, 1Yr Mail-In Service, and 1Yr HW Warranty Support
Trend Micro PC-cillin (Because we all know it is much better)

Well, I think that is good for the specs. If I missed anything, just post here and I will find it out for you.

What else?

Oh, yes. Just a reminder that I am not 100% sure I will be selling, though there is a strong chance. Basically, I don't want to put it on eBay until I know that I have a buyer (or, of course, if they buyer doesn't want to use eBay to make the Buy It Now, then we can just do Paypal - but personally I like eBay).

So, finally it comes to the asking price. The retail for this PC is about $3300 (it is a little over). I will answer any private messages anyone has regarding what they believe is a fair selling price. What I ask is $2750. However, if you have an offer, send me a message and I'll let you know.

Lastly, let me remind you that I've had this laptop for a little over three weeks. I still have all the original boxes and software, cases, etc. So, post here if you would like it.

P.S. - My eBay name is aj2727 if you feel the need to check me out. I haven't sold or brought much, but I do have positive feedback.

Thanks!

Why not send it back? Don't they extend the time to send back during the holidays?

Do they? Hmm, I'll have to check it out.

*EDIT*

But in the meantime, it is still for sale.

This is just over my budget i was looking for an XPS $2200 or lower.

Oh well.

"What I ask is $2750"......should have waited on some coupons i bought my rig for the same price. Good luck with the sale!

I did get a coupon. I got this one 10% off coupon. So, now that I am selling it, I decided to give 20% off. I thought it a fair deal.

*EDIT*

Thought I'd add in another interesting tidbit about this computer. When I ran 3dMark05 before, I got a score of 6952. Pretty damn good if you ask me. Furthermore, in the three weaks that I have had this, I've been able to play F.E.A.R. all the way through without any lag at almost max settings. It actually amazed me. It looks like I was just stupid for rushing in to buy a laptop before I researched enough. Now I really want a desktop.

So anyway, that's all. I hope someone can help me out here... you'll be helping yourself at the same time.

P.P.S. - Shipping is included with the price.

6952? on stock clocks?

I'm not really sure what stock clocks are... but I would imagine so. I didn't really change anything. However, I did do a fresh windows install. Perhaps that is what you mean?

Oh, stock clocks! No, I did not overclock my video card. So then yes, stock clocks. Silly me.
hmm.....thats a good score! what drivers did you use? i don't think anyone received over 6700 with stock clocks...even with the 2.26 780 processor!!!

Ermm... which ever drivers you get from dell. I'm don't possess the biggest knowledge of computers. I know how to do a few simple things. But honestly, I wouldn't risk other drivers from third parties. This computer is all official.

Thanks, I may need the luck.

(Ah ha! A bump in disguise! Or did I just ruin it?)
