Here are some bad side effects linked to the graphics card (nVidia only) or the lagging issue.

The effect on data flux (download stream) of LAN and Modem connection (probably WLAN) due to video mode changes (nVidia only).

The effect of lags/freezes in Warcraft 3 on the CPU load due to lagging issue (M1439, Mx438, probably M1437).

Another way to reconstruct the lags in Windows is to use programs like smart.exe
Download and more infos here http://support.fujitsu-siemens.de/fo...?p=39176#39176
(It is not for sure yet that SMART is the root of the lagging issue. At least, checking the SMART state with smart.exe causes lags.)

The fight is over! We lost. There won't be a fix ever.

The only way to make a draw out of this defeat is to give it back! You will be happy only if you don't own this notebook any more!

Don't waste time to fight for a solution any more! Fight for giving it back! Fight for your money!

I had a lagging issue with videos from both http://www.youtube.com and http://video.google.com . I just downloaded the last Windows BIOS update for my Amilo M1437G from www.fujitsu-siemens.com (note that it only works fine in Internet Explorer) and the video lagging issue got FIXED. Hope this helps.

Laptop:
Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M1437G
Hard drive: SAMSUMG HM080JI 80GB 5400RPM SATA
1GB RAM

If the latest BIOS fixed everything, I wouldn't sue FSC. But I do!
Play Warcraft 3 and do any test that points out the lags and you will see that you still have them.

Update

VIA RAID driver 4.40 (by FSC) and 5.30
FSC BIOS 1.11

As mentioned before, these updates don't solve the lagging issue. I have run several tests that reveal a slight improvement with the latest RAID drivers, but there is nothing that is worth calling a solution! Warcraft 3 still lags like hell and also Accessbench gives too high peaks.

ANNOTATION:
If you are suing FSC because of the Lagging Issue, please contact me via PM or Email. I'd appreciate it a lot! - Thank you.
